It’s been a wonderful two years+ in Columbus, and from our family to yours, we wish you a Merry Christmas with your family & friends, and your four-legged friends!
Thank you for everything in 2013, and we’re so excited about 2014!
Tomorrow is the last chance to get Christmas items before we close! We’ll be open 10am – 2pm(ish) tomorrow, December 24th.
We’ll have stocking stuffers from $1, sales on West Paw Reindeers & a few other Christmas toys for you to choose from.
Also, the RC Pets Packable Poncho makes a great stocking item, it’s light, small and can fit inside the Planet Dog Stockings we have left, in case you need one more!
We’ll see you all today, if not, have a Merry Christmas!
While you’re finishing up your holiday shopping this seasons, remember us LOCAL businesses! We can often times offer you the same product as big box stores – for equal or lesser price. Sometimes, we’re a bit higher, but that’s just something we can’t help. We do our best, give us a shot to prove to you!
Polk County (and Landrum) has a lot of local options for gifts. When you shop local, your money stays in there area. It’s put back into the community by the store owners at a greater rate that national chains.
Remember, that extra $4 could help someone locally have a better Holiday season with their families. That’s what Christmas is about.
Read more here from Dr. Karen Becker: http://healthypets.mercola.com/sites/healthypets/archive/2013/12/13/cat-food-myths.aspx
Many cat owners are not aware that felines spend significant amounts of time each day marking their territory, engaging in hunting activities, and hiding.
Almost two-thirds (65 percent) of cat owners choose their pet’s food based on flavor, and 38 percent believe cats have a strong sense of taste. (Actually, cats have a weak sense of taste and are drawn by the smell and texture of food rather than its taste.)
The holidays are a time of happiness & cheer. Take a peek at this list to make sure you do your best to keep them that way!

Notice how many states are 0%? Luckily, NC shelters get SOME. But, instead of donating your money to the HSUS, try donating it locally!!! Directly to a group of your choice. Our two favorites are Foothills Humane Society & Lennies Kids.
If you’re not familiar with what Lenny Does, you can read up about it here: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Lennies-Kids/109446469129736?sk=info
And, our partner in finding homes for cats & dogs, Foothills Humane Society is always very appreciative of any donation… http://www.foothillshumanesociety.org – you may have seen some of their animals in our store, and those we foster-to-adopt. Luna is a FHS kid!
You can also donated to Steps To Hope & The Sheriff’s Office in Columbus.
