Zignature dog food has now introduced their Buyer Program
for their loyal customers. We’re pleased to offer a Buy 12 Get
1 Free program on their line of food.
Details: Smallest bag submitted = free bag
Buy 12 – Get 1 Free!
No work on your part, we do all the work!
We can back-date your purchases to Sept 1st. So what you’ve purchased since
then will be applied to your buyer card.
Starting soon, we’ll be rolling out a new program to raise money for non-profit groups (shelters, rescue’s, etc) – where we will ask you to donate the change of your purchase, to the select groups. Example: If your purchase is $24.74, we will ask you to “round-up” to $25.00, and we’ll donate the $.26 from your purchase to a select group.
At the end of the month, we will run a report for the donated amount & issue a check to the group we select. We will also take suggestions for non-profit groups that are close to you & your family.
Over the last several months, Facebook has changed the formula in which our posts, events, pictures & information appear, unless you pay to “boost” each post, your page, etc. So, we’ll be moving our social media to out website, here.
We’ll be unveiling a new design in the coming days/week, and we’re excited about it. It’s easy to subscribe to the site for updates, and we’ll be sharing lots of information over the coming months for new products & events!
We’ll still post some on Facebook, but it’s not justifiable for us to boost every post so more than 13 of you get to see it!
We get this issue a lot. Found this article today on a few tips as to why it might be happening. It’s a wonderful article from Dr. Karen Becker on why a cat might not be using his litter box. Also, some tips on finding the urine & how to clean the surfaces it may be on!
We’ve also had A LOT of great success with the FeliWay Spray’s. Plus, they’re guaranteed!
What makes some litters so different? Sodium Bentonite and Crystalline Silica Dust.
Clumping litters provide convenience to cat owners, but the cheaper ones come at a cost. They have been known to cause diseases and even deaths. Plus, Sodium Bentonite is NOT flushable. SB can swell at about 15% of it’s normal size, therefore clogs your pipes. It’s well known in sealing, grouting & plugging materials. Not exactly something you want your cats to be using.
The dust from these ingredients gets on your cats, and as cat owners know, cats will notoriously clean themselves and lick their fur. Then it gets into their system. If enough got into them, it would expand as well when mixed with the moisture in the cats system.
Crystalline Silica Dust is a known carcinogenic for animals and humans alike. According to OSHA.gov, “Crystalline silica has been classified as a human lung carcinogen. Additionally, breathing crystalline silica dust can cause silicosis, which in severe cases can be disabling, or even fatal. The silica dust enters the lungs and causes the formation of scar tissue, thus reducing the lungs’ ability to take in oxygen.”
There are plenty of options for you, safer, healthier & environmentally friendly litters.
The ones we carry are: Precious Cat 40lb, World Best Cat Litter & Swheat Scoop (flushable).
From our friends at Parker’s in Chicago, here’s a bit of information on WHY your dog should not be Beggin’ for Beggin’ Strips! A great read, well written & on point!
“Since we highlighted an unfortunate food with cute packaging, let’s take a look at some popular treats with cute packaging, but bad ingredients:
Beggin’ Strips Original Bacon Flavor:
Ground wheat, corn gluten meal, wheat flour, ground yellow corn, water, sugar, glycerin, meat, hydrogenated starch hydrolysate, soybean meal, bacon fat preserved with BHA, salt, sorbic acid (a preservative), artificial smoke flavor, calcium propionate (a preservative), glyceryl monostearate, phosphoric acid, choline chloride, added color (red 40, blue 1, yellow 5, yellow 6).
I highlighted the scary ingredients. Corn gluten meal and ground yellow corn are not biologically appropriate ingredients- they are common allergens and are unnecessary in pet food or treats. Corn is simply sugar, something your dog doesn’t need in it’s diet. Sugar is also completely unnecessary in a pet treat- dogs have no biological need for sugar. The ingredient “meat” is especially scary. What kind of meat?? It could be anything! Hydrogenated Starch Hydrosylate is just another form of sugar. Soybeans, like corn, are not a natural part of a dogs’ diet and do not have any place in pet food. Bacon fat itself is not a terrible ingredient, it’s the preservative- BHA. BHA is a preservative that has shown to have negative side effects, including being carcinogenic. It’s inexpensive, which is why lower quality foods and treats use it. Salt is another unnecessary ingredient. It’s just used here as a flavor enhancer. Artifical smoke flavor includes MSG, which is a common allergen, plus has been shown to have negative side effects. Calcium propionate is considered “slightly toxic” and is yet ANOTHER preservative. Colorants are also completely unnecessary in pet food and treats- dogs can’t see that Beggin’ Strips are supposed to be bacon colored! Added colors just cause tear stains and are thought to cause hyperactivity, amongst other things.
So, what do we have that is bacon flavored but with not so scary ingredients?
Buddy Biscuits Soft & Chewy: Bacon & Cheese Flavor
Ingredients: Pork, unbleached wheat flour, tapioca starch, maple syrup, glycerin, rice flour, bacon, cheddar cheese, gelatin, natural flavor, salt, natural smoke flavor, phosphoric acid, sorbic acid, mixed tocopherols (natural preservative).
Nothing scary to report! Just bacon and cheese flavors brought about by actual bacon and actual cheese! Stop by to get a sample! ”

We’re working on putting together some awesome events at the store & through the store for our wonderful customers. One thing we’re looking at is doing some sort of a Fall Festival, which will serve as an open house, of sorts. We’ll have lots of vendors on hand as well as special groups!
The work for it begins now, so keep an eye out for information regarding the events! We’re excited to bring these events. We think everyone will greatly benefit from them!
